You may know Conrad Mata as the musician; singing, playing saxophone, and guitar. Conrad, on the contrary, would much sooner call himself a bard. As early as seven years old, Conrad could most likely be found writing and reading in the shade of his front-yard oak tree. Having learned how stories are made, he then studied how stories are told; classically training as an actor at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Though the medium has changed along the way, narrative has remained the focus. Conrad writes stories that challenge viewpoints and reveal new ways of living. His music and live performances are layered with wit and double-entendre; imbued with a spirit of play.
